In accordance with the Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings issued by the California Department of Public Health on June 18, 2020, all individuals are required to wear a face covering (mask) when in public, with limited exceptions. More specifically, people are required to wear face coverings when "waiting for or riding on public transportation or paratransit..." or "inside of, or in line to enter, any indoor public space" such as the Transit Center. These requirements are intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19, especially amongst those individuals that have the virus, but are not yet exhibiting symptoms.
Individuals that do not have a face covering will be informed of these requirements when boarding the bus and will be provided a mask at no-cost. Individuals that refuse to wear a mask, unless specifically exempt in the Guidance above, will be denied service.
