Transit & the Christmas ParadeOn Friday, 12/1/23, the 44th Annual Christmas Parade will take place in Downtown Turlock. The parade starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. and last entry is expected to turn onto Main St. around 7:30 p.m.
Due to road closures associated with the event, as well as heavy traffic congestion in the area, drivers may find it difficult to travel in the downtown area in the afternoon/evening hours, as well as find a parking spot. Turlock Transit has a solution for you . We will continue to provide free, fixed route service (Route 4) all day between the Transit Center and the bus stop at E. Canal Dr. & Main St., near the start of the parade. Since special event road closures won't allow for the bus to complete it's normal route, it will deviate along Main St. and return to the regular route at Colorado Ave. Transit staff has coordinated with City event and police personnel to ensure priority transit access near the parade. This will ensure you get to where you need to go with minimal delays. Buses will operate every 30 minutes. The last bus will depart this bus stop at 8:41 p.m. December kicks off free-fare joint promotion with StanRTA all passengers can ride any fixed route for free. For more general information on this special event, please visit the City of Turlock's Christmas Parade webpage.
