Service Hours |
Turlock Transit provides paratransit service that is available to qualified individuals with disabilities that create mobility challenges preventing them from being able to get to and from bus stops or being able to ride the bus safely on their own. For eligibility requirements, see the Eligibility section below. This is a curb-to-curb, shared ride, public transit service that includes all of the City of Turlock, and runs complimentary to the fixed route service. Check our service hours and holidays for availability.
Paratransit requires advanced reservation and all trips must be booked no later than 5:00 p.m. for the following business day, but trips could be booked up to 14 days in advance.. To schedule a trip, call (209) 668-5600 during the designated reservation hours or use the Turlock Transit app at any time. For calls made outside of the designated reservation hours, please leave us a message with your phone number and on of our reservationists will return your call in the morning of the next business day to confirm. Eligibility
Paratransit service is available only to persons who have received ADA paratransit eligibility.
Turlock Transit, in partnership with StanRTA’s “The S”, have partnered with MOVE Stanislaus to provide ADA paratransit eligibility determinations for all transit providers. This provides a unified eligibility process that utilizes in-person assessments instead of paper applications. The result is an easier process for applicants. If approved, your eligibility will be recognized with both transit providers. For more information or to schedule your ADA eligibility assessment, please call (209) 672-1143 or visit: http://www.movestanislaus.org/eligibility/

Tips for Using Paratransit Service
- To schedule a Paratransit trip, you must call (209) 668-5600 or use the Turlock Transit App by 5:00 p.m on the business day before you want to take your trip.. This will assist us in providing the trip closest to your preferred pick-up or departure time.
- Phone reservations can be made by calling from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, or anytime on the Turlock Transit App.
- When you call, be prepared to provide the following information:
- name
- telephone number
- pick-up address
- destination address
- desired destination arrival time
- type of mobility aide, if any
- number of passengers traveling with you
- need a return trip, if applicable
- If you need to be somewhere by a certain time, book the trip as a "Drop-Off". The reservationist will give you a 30-minute scheduled appointment window for the bus to pick you up so that you arrive up to 30 minutes before, but not after your desired drop-off time.
- If you would like to be picked up no earlier than a certain time, book the trip as a "Pick-Up". The reservationist will give you a 30-minute scheduled appointment window for the bus to pick you up, up to 45 minutes after, but not before your desired pick-up time.
- Please be ready to be picked up at the beginning of your scheduled appointment window. Delays can affect other passenger's pick-up times. To be respectful of other passengers and to help keep buses on schedule, drivers can only wait for up to three minutes after they arrive for passengers to board the bus, unless the passenger has an ADA eligibility requirement that requires more time.
- Please wait at the entrance of your pick-up location and be visible to the driver in the bus. Our drivers are not allowed to enter a private residence, and they must keep their vehicle in sight at all times.
- For paratransit trips, we have a three (3) shopping bag limit. Strollers must be folded, and carry-on items must be secured in your lap or under your seat so that the aisles are kept clear at all times.
- Turlock Transit reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who demonstrate unsafe or disruptive behavior. Violations of Turlock Transit rules may result in suspension and possible prosecution.
