Christmas Cruise Shuttle

Turlock Transit is proud to provide a free, Christmas Cruise Shuttle for community members to experience this special event on Friday, 12/4/20 at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds. No reservations or passes are required.

It's not just the shuttle rides that are free: Rides on Routes 1-6 will be free after 4:45 p.m. also to make experiencing the community event even easier. Board at any Turlock Transit bus stop; they all return to the Transit Center!

Route/Schedule: Shuttle buses will provide direct, roundtrips to the event at the Fairgrounds, returning to the same point at the end of the trip. The initial departure will be at 5:30 p.m. and the final departure will be at 8:15 p.m.  Event organizers have provided priority access for shuttle buses, bypassing queued vehicles at the Fairgrounds and minimizing delays.

Experience: Prior to departure, passengers can enjoy some holiday refreshments provided at no-cost by Turlock Transit, as well as meet with transit personnel to discuss any transit-related ideas or concerns. We love hearing from our passengers! Once on-board the bus passengers can expect Christmas music, decor, and one of Santa's elves (masquerading as a bus driver). Interior lights may be on while in route, but they will be turned off when traveling through the event area to make it easier to see entries.

Public Transit Users:
Passengers using public transit to get to/from the Transit Center should be mindful of their return trip: The final shuttle bus is expected to return to the Transit Center after 8:30 p.m. (the departure time of the last buses for Routes 1-6). Therefore, to avoid missing your ride home, consider using an earlier shuttle bus to experience the Christmas Cruise.

Health and Safety

Turlock Transit has implemented policies and procedures in accordance with guidance from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and other public health officials to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep transit safe for everyone.  These standard protocols will apply equally to the Christmas Cruise Shuttle and regular transit services.
Here's what we are doing:
  • Face coverings are required by all individuals when waiting at a bus stop, on board a bus, or inside the Transit Center. Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth and remain in place at all times.
  • Frequent sanitizing of high touchpoints on buses and at the Transit Center throughout the day. This will occur after each shuttle trip.
  • Buses are fully sanitized daily using a non-toxic, CDC-approved cleaner and electrostatic sprayers that bond to all surfaces.
  • Educating passengers on rules and best practices on-board buses, in map cases, on social media, on our website, and in the Transit Center
  • Encouraging social distancing on buses through signage and floor decals
  • Providing free hand sanitizer and masks to any individual upon request. See the bus driver for more information.
Here's what you can do:
  • Wear a face covering when at a bus stop, on-board a bus, or in the Transit Center. This is required.
  • Stay home if sick or recently exposed someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Maintain physical distancing of 6' between yourself and others that are not a part of your household
  • Cough into a tissue, or if unavailable, your elbow.
  • Wash your hands frequently and exercise good personal hygiene.
  • Avoid unnecessary physical contact
