CITY EXECUTES MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH GILLIG FOR PURCHASE OF MULTIPLE 35 FT. CNG BUSES

The City has entered into an agreement with Gillig of Hayward, CA, to provide between 4-10 35' CNG low floor buses over the next 5 years. The first two buses under the agreement were authorized for purchase today, 5/23/17, by the Turlock City Council. Each bus will be built to City specifications and is expected to be delivered in spring 2019. A sample picture is shown below. Funding for this purchase was made available through Federal Transit Administration capital funds. In addition to these buses, the City is considering short-term acquisitions to help improve fleet reliability in the meantime.
